Nous sommes entrés dans le 7e mois du calendrier hégirien, Rajab 1443. Rajab a en effet un statut particulier, puisqu’il fait partie avec trois autres mois du calendrier hégirien des mois sacrés en Islam.
Le Prophète ﷺ dans un hadith, rapporté par Al-Bukhari et Muslim (que Dieu leur fasse miséricorde), dit : « Le temps a repris son cours tel qu’il était quand Allah créa les cieux et la terre : l’année compte douze mois dont quatre mois sacrées ; les trois se succèdent et ont pour nom Dhul qa’da, Dhul hija et Muharram et le quatrième Rajab intercalé entre Jumada et Chaabane”.
Dans le Saint Coran, Allah fait référence à quatre mois sacrés.

Selon ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Amr Ibn al-‘As (qu’Allah l’Exalté soit satisfait de lui), le Prophète (que la Paix et le Salut d’Allah soient sur lui) a dit :
« Jeûner trois jours par mois équivaut à jeûner toute sa vie »
